If you tend to think back to the days when you were physically fit and able to wear revealing clothing with confidence and wonder where the time has gone and how you could have let your physique deteriorate, you may currently be deeply-ashamed and discouraged. After experimenting with the equipment and learning how each type of exercise makes you feel, choose one or two pieces of equipment that you like more than the others and plan on spending more time using the equipment during subsequent visits.

If your legs are the main part of your body that you would like to focus on, then select a leg press machine or treadmill as your predominant piece of equipment to use. If your arms are flabby and you want to focus on them first, then select an overhead weight bench or resistance bands as the piece of equipment to use. 

Increase Your Heart Rate Several Times A Week

Your heart rate needs to increase to improve your physique. Try to make exercise a constant in your life and strive to work out several times each week. Even if you can only spend a little while at the fitness center, you will still benefit from each bit of effort that you put into your fitness plan. If using the equipment is not enough to keep you motivated, join an activity at the center, such as aerobics, yoga, or weight training.
